Topic: Fencing
Rashed started the presentation by introducing their topic
and the points they were going to present. He gave a good description of the
three different types of fencing. His voice was very clear. His body language
was good. He was moving his hands in a good manner while explaining some rules
of the game. He looked to the listeners in the eye. He didn’t stare at the ceiling.
He used some Arabic words which was a disadvantage to him since the
presentation was in English. He brought
actual clothes of fencing and that was what l liked the most about their
presentation. I wish I could bring some fireworks and fire them in the
classroom. That would have been fascinating. Omar’s part was giving details for
each type. For example, he gave rich details of the different swords of each
type. He paused a lot while looking for some words that he wanted to say and
sometimes the listeners helped him with that. To me he seemed very hasty to
finish and nervous. Yousef gave a brief history of fencing like where and when it
started. The slides of Yousef’s part were pictureless. He was just reading from
them. There were some spelling mistakes in their slides. At the end they
thanked the listeners for listening and answered their questions. Overall, the
presentation was good and useful and I enjoyed it.
